Did you know that nearly 8 out of 10 firefighters in the United States are volunteers? There are approximately 31,000 fire departments in the US and 75 % of them are all volunteer. Our volunteers are on call 24/7 and respond to an average of 400 calls per year. Our volunteer firefighters and EMTs have received the same extensive training as their paid professional counterparts and are certified by the State of Ohio.
